Job Summary: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Neurological registered nurse (RN) position located in Madison, Wisconsin. This role involves providing specialized critical care to adult neurological patients within an 18-bed Neuroscience ICU that functions as a Comprehensive Stroke Center. The nurse will deliver advanced interventions, monitor hemodynamics, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details:
Shift Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Wisconsin or compact registered nurse (RN) license, at least 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in an inpatient critical care setting, neuro ICU experience, Epic electronic medical record system experience, ACLS and BLS certifications, pass Telemetry test prior to start, Basic Arrhythmia experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ICP or ventriculostomy monitoring, trauma level II certification, previous neuro ICU experience.
Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, weekly minimum of 36 hours.
Additional Information: The neuro ICU cares for critically ill adult patients with diagnoses including stroke, post-thrombectomy and lysis, subarachnoid hemorrhage, traumatic brain injury, and spinal cord injury. The unit is equipped with specialized equipment such as CereLink monitors and ICP monitoring devices. Cross-training and floating may be required as per patient needs.
