Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 20-bed Neuro Progressive Care Unit serving adult and geriatric populations
• Manage care for patients with stable post-stroke conditions, stable neurosurgery recovery, telemetry monitoring needs, and general medical diagnoses
• Maintain a patient ratio of 5:1, delivering safe and effective nursing interventions
• Document patient assessments, care plans, and clinical outcomes using Cerner EHR
• Float to Medical, Telemetry, and Neon units as needed to support staffing requirements
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to monitor neurological status and support patient safety

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in North Carolina or a compact state
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a PCU, step-down, or progressive care setting
• Experience with neuro-medical, stroke, neuro-surgical, or telemetry patient populations
• Proficiency or ability to quickly adapt to Cerner EHR
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience caring for neuro-orthopedic surgical patients
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and overflow medical patient management
• Experience floating across medical and telemetry units in an acute care environment
