Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse specialized in Medical/Surgical nursing to provide comprehensive care to a diverse patient population. This role involves managing a mix of acute care patients as well as socially complex patients who are awaiting placement.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical patients, focusing on both acute and chronic health conditions.
• Perform assessments, develop nursing care plans, and implement interventions in a dynamic clinical environment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and support discharge planning.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Document patient information and maintain accurate health records in compliance with established protocols.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Nursing License.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical/Surgical nursing.
• Proficient in the use of EPIC electronic health record system.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle a variety of patient situations, including those who may not have a medical necessity for hospitalization.
