Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Neuroscience ICU/IMCU position at a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center, requiring at least 2 years of strong neuro ICU experience in a high-volume hospital setting.

Details

• Work setting is an inpatient Neuroscience ICU/IMCU (8AB) within a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center
• Position covers both ICU and stepdown levels of care; floating between the two units is expected
• Patient ratios: 1:2 in the ICU and 1:3-4 in the stepdown
• 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling is generally not approved

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Neuro ICU specialty required
• Experience in high-acuity, high-volume hospital environments is required — candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
• Proven ability to manage critical, fast-paced, complex trauma cases
• Current certifications required (copies must be provided for consideration)
• Work history must include EMR experience; no gaps greater than 60 days
• Skills checklist matching the ICU specialty required for consideration
