Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in Edmonds, Washington. This role involves providing specialized nursing care to infants in a Level II NICU setting with admissions for normal newborns and those 32 weeks or greater. The position requires skills in attending high-risk deliveries, feeding support, neonatal dosage calculations, and ventilator management, among others.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Day shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: 2 years of experience, certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), comparable clinical experience, current licensure
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Level II NICU admissions, attending high-risk deliveries, and neonatal procedures such as ventilator management and feeding tube placements
  • Float: Float rotation may be required
  • Additional Information:
    • Unit type: Level II NICU with normal newborn admissions and 32 weeks or greater gestation
    • Procedures include attending vaginal and cesarean deliveries, CPAP/BiPAP support, feeding tubes, syringe pumps
    • NICU travel nurses are not expected to care for mother-baby couplets unless they possess the relevant skills/competencies
    • #Tier3 Travel Compliance References required: 2 references covering 1 year (6 months for CNAs) within the last 3 years, including Charge RNs/Lead
