Job Summary

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit night-shift role supporting care for neonates in a Level II neonatal intensive care unit. The position provides 12-hour shifts beginning at 6:00 PM, with a 36-hour weekly schedule, and includes care for infants requiring stabilization and respiratory support.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts from 6:00 PM for 12 hours, totaling 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: At least 1 year of experience; Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and STABLE certifications; compact state license in hand at submission.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge experience and charting system experience.
• Additional Information:
  • Provides care for neonates, including infants born at more than 34 weeks and those born between 29 and 34 weeks.
  • Supports care in a Level II neonatal intensive care unit, including stabilization of infants for transfer to a higher level of care when needed.
  • Performs high-risk deliveries, breastfeeding support, and breast milk handling.
  • Manages ventilatory support, including continuous positive airway pressure and high-flow respiratory support.
  • Manages umbilical artery and umbilical vein catheters.
  • Supports eat, sleep, and console care.
  • Patient assignments are typically two patients per nurse on days, nights, and weekends.
  • Weekend coverage is required, with holiday coverage expectations as assigned.
