Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Level 3 or Level 4 NICU setting, caring for premature infants and neonates with complex diagnoses including cardiac defects, genetic disorders, surgical needs, ECMO, and therapeutic cooling
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:2 (ICU level) and 1:3 (Level 2), delivering high-acuity nursing care in a 71-bed unit including 17 stepdown beds
• Utilize Cerner EMR and Phillips telemetry systems to document and monitor patient status
• Complete a Day 1 pass/fail SIMs Lab assessment, including Foley catheter insertion with strict adherence to sterile field technique
• Float as needed to Mother Baby or Labor Care units (babies only)
• Fulfill weekend requirement of 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period, with holiday coverage based on unit needs

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license with a minimum of 3 years of NICU experience (Level 3 or Level 4 required)
• BLS certification (required)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification (required)
• Demonstrated competency in sterile field technique, including Foley catheter insertion
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (driver's license used as source of truth)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Cardiac STABLE certification is a plus
• Experience with ECMO and/or therapeutic cooling patients
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR
