Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Ambulatory Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10 hours Hours per Shift: 07:00 - 17:30 Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: Relevant certifications preferred Must-Have: Ability to start IVs preferred Description: ASAP start, no weekends, no on-call. Primary functions include administering and monitoring subcutaneous and sublingual immunotherapy according to physician treatment plans. Perform allergy skin testing, document results, and communicate findings to the allergist. Assess and monitor patients for adverse reactions, recognizing and treating anaphylaxis per emergency protocols. Prepare, label, store, and maintain allergen extracts and immunotherapy vials in compliance with regulatory standards. Triage patient calls, provide nursing guidance, and escalate clinical concerns as appropriate. Perform venipuncture and collect laboratory specimens as ordered. Educate patients on allergy management, immunotherapy, asthma care, epinephrine use, and avoidance strategies. Maintain accurate medication reconciliation, allergy records, and clinical documentation in the electronic health record. Prepare patient charts, obtain informed consent, and support efficient clinic workflow. Perform spirometry and other pulmonary function testing as indicated. Coordinate care with providers, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals. Manage immunotherapy scheduling, missed-dose protocols, and patient follow-up. Maintain emergency equipment, medications, and clinic readiness for allergic emergencies. Assist with billing documentation, inventory management, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement initiatives. Complete incident reporting and participate in patient safety and risk management activities.
