Job Title: Interventional Cardiology RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Outpatient Clinic Duration: 32 Weeks Shift: Day 5x8-Hour Hours per Shift: 08:30 - 17:00 Experience: 1 year of experience working as an RN in an outpatient cardiology clinic setting and triage setting is required. License: RN License required. Certifications: BLS required. Must-Have: - Experience with assessment and vital signs. - Experience in arrhythmia interpretation and cardiac arrest/CPR. - Skills in telephone triage and patient education. - Knowledge of universal precautions and quality improvement initiatives. Description: This position is opened to cover a caregiver on leave. The RN will care for cardiology patients preparing for or recovering from procedures such as cardiac catheterization and PCI/stent placement. The patient population may include those requiring careful assessment of symptoms, anticoagulation status, medication changes, and post-procedure complications. Urgent escalation is required for chest pain, new/worsening shortness of breath, syncope/near-syncope, stroke-like symptoms, uncontrolled bleeding, unstable vitals, or vascular access complications. The facility operates under a heart and vascular specialty, focusing on high-quality patient care. The RN's responsibilities include obtaining health questionnaires, vital signs, and administering oxygen. Patient engagement and education are crucial, with a special emphasis on lifestyle and medication adherence. Team collaboration is essential, particularly in quality improvement initiatives and safety protocols. Charting will be conducted using EPIC, requiring prior experience. The RN will wear any color scrubs as part of the standard attire.
