Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
⏰ Schedule: 3x12-Hour Shifts (36 Guaranteed Hours/Week)
On-Call: None
Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Grand Rapids, MI. This opportunity is with a nationally recognized behavioral health organization providing compassionate, patient-centered inpatient psychiatric care.
The RN will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to assess patients, develop individualized care plans, administer treatments, provide therapeutic support, and promote a safe healing environment for patients experiencing mental health conditions.
Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Provide direct nursing care to inpatient behavioral health patients.
- Monitor patient conditions and report significant changes to physicians.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical documentation.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge planning.
- Promote a safe therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, and healthcare teams.
- Assist with crisis intervention and behavioral management.
- Delegate tasks appropriately and provide leadership when functioning as Charge Nurse.
Requirements- Active Michigan RN License (required at submission)
- Minimum 2 years of Behavioral Health nursing experience
- Pediatric Behavioral Health experience required
- Current BLS Certification
- Strong communication, assessment, and crisis intervention skills
Assignment Details- 13-Week Travel Contract
- 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week
