Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: CATH LAB CWR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum years of experience preferred in Cath Lab License: State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license Certifications: - BLS-AHA - ACLS-AHA - Telemetry Must-Have: - Must have Cath Lab experience - Must be able to function as an intra-procedural RN responsible for documentation, administration of medications, and as a circulator of minimally invasive procedures such as LHC and PCI Description: The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient needs. Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Develops, implements, and coordinates individualized plans of care for assigned patients through initial and ongoing assessments. Initiates assessments based on patient problems or needs, physician diagnoses, and functional health frameworks. Performs therapeutic nursing interventions. Manages care of patients. Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities. Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports the adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery. Provides patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned. Preferred experience with equipment such as IABP, Impella, shockwave, and various atherectomy devices. Preferred experience in vascular and/or neuro diagnostic and interventions. Willingness to cover on-call for cardiac procedures off-hours and on weekends is required. On-call duty is likely needed every five weeks, depending on staffing demands. Subject to change based on organizational needs. Critical care experience is highly preferred. Prior experience with EPIC and Sensis is highly preferred.
