Skills: Required Skills & Experience:-Minimum of five (5) years nursing experience of management and/or supervisory in the Emergency Department.-Demonstrates leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.-Ability to effectively communicate in English both verbally and in writing.-Excellent creative skills, ideas to improve existing programs.-Ability to determine appropriate action in complex situations.-Ability to manage multiple and simultaneous responsibilities and to prioritize scheduling work.-Ability to complete work assignments accurately and in a timely manner.-Ability to handle difficult situations involving patients, physicians, or others in a professional manner.-Services, processes, ideas that have an impact on this job and the department. -Promote and support a collaborative team approach in providing care for all ED and trauma patients.-Approach others in a tactful manner and treat others with respect and consideration.-Support and interpret policies, procedures, and objectives of the hospital.-Monitors customer satisfaction scores and implements plans to improve scores.-Monitors patient volume, quality of care, and performance of staff to identify areas for improvement.-Maintains a departmental dashboard that includes information and progress on people, service, quality, and leadership-Responsible for investigating patient, physician and staff complaints/concerns and works to resolve the aforementioned.-Maintains required competencies for self and all employees within the department.-Participates in a professional organization.
