Contract | Days | 8-hour shifts with a general 7:00 AM start time | On-call required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care in a 2-suite Cardiac Cath Lab performing an average of 8 cases per day
• Assist with all cardiac invasive procedures including peripheral procedures such as carotid, A/V grafts, EVAR, and peripheral diagnostic and intervention cases
• Operate and document within a Cerner EMR environment
• Participate in on-call rotation, including weekend call coverage; minimum every other weekend call from Friday 1530 to Monday 0700, with an average of 12 call days per month (up to 18 depending on staffing); 30-minute response time required
• Participate in rotating holiday call assignments as assigned
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including Cath Lab/IR Techs, IV Team, Respiratory Therapy (24/7), and Pharmacy (24/7)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of California
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience required
• Must successfully complete a pre-assignment dysrhythmia (DYS) exam through Relias prior to contract start (pass/fail; 2 attempts allowed); exam completed within the last 12 months may be accepted
• Candidates must not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any associated health system facility within the past year; candidates employed PRN through outside staffing firms may be considered

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with peripheral procedures including carotid, A/V grafts, EVAR, and peripheral diagnostic and intervention
• Scrubbing experience preferred, though candidates who do not scrub will be considered
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR
• Prior travel nursing experience in a Cath Lab setting
