Electrophysiology Registered Nurse (EP RN)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | 3 x 12-Hour Shifts | Primarily Days with some evenings, holidays, and on-call per unit needs
Key Responsibilities
Prepare patients for electrophysiology procedures, ensure all equipment and instrumentation is in working order, and monitor recordings during procedures
Serve as the circulator at the sterile field, prepping patients and equipment for EP studies and ablations, including maintaining fluids for ablation catheters and providing assistance with the ablator
Remain patient-focused during studies and ablations, assisting Anesthesia, documenting procedures in Epic, and providing backup pacing during implants
Communicate with physicians and in-room staff to confirm availability of all equipment and supplies, facilitate room turnover, and support on-time procedure starts
Coordinate with the Charge Nurse and third-party vendors to ensure all team members are available for scheduled procedures
Assist with a range of procedures including RF and cryo ablations, device implants (pacemakers, ICDs, leadless PPM, loop recorders), and LAAC procedures
Required Qualifications
Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum 2 years of relevant RN experience
BLS certification through the American Heart Association (required)
Proficiency in moderate sedation
Proficiency with Epic for procedural documentation
Preferred Experience / Skills
Cardiac implant or structural heart scrub experience
Experience with GE systems including MacLab and CardioLab
Familiarity with EP mapping systems such as Biosense Webster Carto, Abbott Ensite/Precision, or Rhythmia
