Must-Have:
- 22 years of cardiac ICU experience preferred
- Epic experience required
- Previous travel experience preferred
- Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity
Description:
Weekdays and some weekends are required.
Rotating holidays are also part of the schedule.
Staff are required to float within units of equivalent or lower levels of acuity.
36 hours per week on the night shift.
Up to 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule period.
Patient ratios are estimated at 1:1 to 2:2.
Skills required include IV starts, telemetry, ventilator management, Swanz catheter management, conscious sedation, balloon pumps, and pulmonary artery line care.
Additional skills in accessing and managing ports, blood product administration, and interpretation of arterial blood gases are also necessary.
Experience with ECMO, BiPAP/CPAP management, and procedures such as chest tube insertion/removal is expected.
Patient diagnosis may include cardiovascular, vascular, or thoracic conditions such as CABG, valve repair, TAVR, heart transplant, lung transplant, and ECMO management.
Special equipment may include total artificial hearts, ventilators, and hemodynamic monitoring.
Travelers will not rotate more than once every 4 weeks.
One pre-approved time off request is allowed during the contract.
Two professional references are required, with at least one from a manager or someone in a formal leadership capacity.
All candidates must complete the fingerprinting process as required.
Education must be from an accredited program.
