Travel Nurse RN - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit in Redding, CA

Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 30-bed Cardiac ICU setting with a 1:1–1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Care for post-operative fresh open heart surgery patients and mixed ICU patient populations
• Monitor patients using GE telemetry systems and manage ventilated patients as needed
• Collaborate with an in-house Hospitalist (24/7), Respiratory Therapy (24/7), and Pharmacy (24/7) teams
• Participate in self-scheduling with manager review and approval approximately six weeks in advance
• Float to telemetry or med-surg units as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
• Recent, hands-on experience with fresh open heart surgery patients
• Experience caring for mixed ICU patient populations
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR
• Must pass an onsite proctored Dysrhythmia Test on day one (Pass/Fail)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with GE telemetry monitoring systems
• Comfort with ventilator management in a critical care environment
• Experience in a high-acuity cardiac or cardiovascular ICU setting
