Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Onsite | Sunday–Saturday availability required; block schedule of Friday/Saturday/Sunday available if preferred. Expected 4 weekend shifts per 4-week cycle and at least one holiday, including the holiday weekend.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) setting.
• Float to like or lower-acuity units across multiple campuses within the health system as needed (excluding the ED).
• Utilize EPIC electronic health records system for all documentation and patient management.
• Complete assigned compliance modules by required deadlines (non-billable, 8-hour modules).
• Maintain availability for weekend and holiday shifts as outlined in scheduling requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN License in hand at time of submission (Temporary or Permanent; no EMSA)
• BLS certification required (must be AHA)
• ACLS certification required (must be AHA)
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 2+ years of concurrent experience in CVICU or equivalent specialty.
• EPIC or combined EPIC/Cerner experience within the last 6 months of work history required.
• Travel nursing experience required.
• Valid Nursys verification must be submitted with application.
• One supervisory-level reference required at time of submission.
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off (RTO); no new RTO requests accepted after submission.
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible. Candidates who have been on assignment in the San Diego area for the last 9 or more months are considered local and are not eligible to submit.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience floating across ICU, SDU, or Telemetry units.
• Familiarity with multi-campus health system environments.
• At least 1 year of recent U.S.-based clinical experience (required for international travelers).
