Travel Nurse RN - Cardiovascular Operating Room - $2,398 per week in Newport News, VA

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Cardiothoracic surgery experience required. High-acuity surgical support experience in cardiac, thoracic, vascular is preferred. General operating room proficiency is required, with the ability to circulate across core service lines. Experience with EMR-EPIC is required. License: Unrestricted, active RN License is required. Must have Virginia or compact license. Certifications: BLS and ACLS certifications are required. Must-Have: Experience scrubbing cardiothoracic cases is necessary. Call expectation includes four weekday call shifts and four weekend call shifts per month. Must have experience within the last year in the specialty area. Description: We are a multi-service Level-II Trauma Center with 15 surgical suites, including a hybrid OR. The unit supports three cardiothoracic surgeons and five vascular surgeons. Candidates must have a minimum of two years of relevant experience. Charting must be done using EMR-EPIC, as experience is necessary for all positions. Candidates must maintain compliance with continuing education requirements. All applicants must provide one supervisory reference for submission. Floating may be required based on the needs of the facility. No additional time off requests will be approved after an offer has been given.
