Provide holistic, individualized patient and family care that progresses toward self-identified goals, utilizing the nursing process to safely and therapeutically manage patient care.
Develop, implement, and adapt comprehensive, age- and culturally appropriate plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Evaluate patient and family progress toward care goals, document responses to care, and adjust goals and interventions as needed.
Identify and address patient and family educational needs through individualized education plans, applying adult-learning theory and appropriate resources.
Serve as a patient advocate by encouraging participation in decision-making and upholding individual and family rights.
Delegate and assign care tasks to healthcare team members within their scope of practice, and coordinate with ancillary staff to expedite patient progress and workflow.
Required Qualifications
Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
Minimum of three years of recent RN experience in an RN role.
Minimum of two years of recent RN experience in a specialty area.
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior experience in a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) setting strongly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
