Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN General, Dialysis, Mental Health) Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Staff Augmentation Duration: 52 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours (5:00 AM - 3:00 PM) Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Active RN license Certifications: Required certifications in related areas Must-Have: Must be comfortable with frequent stair climbing Description: This role involves making rounds and evaluating care needed and rendered. The nurse will create care plans and teach healthcare principles. Administering medication, including narcotics, is a key responsibility. Rendering all direct nursing care as needed is essential. The nurse will perform specialized procedures such as IV therapy, chemotherapy, and wound care. Oxygen therapy, dialysis, blood transfusion, incubation, CPR, tube feeding, catheterization, suctioning, and phlebotomy duties will also be required. The nurse will organize and oversee the code blue team. Directing healthcare staff assigned to the area is part of the job. In absence of higher-level staff, the nurse will assume lead responsibilities. Assisting physicians with diagnostic health evaluations is expected. Clerical tasks such as charting and recording medications and treatments will be performed. Completing reports, including incident and accident reports, is necessary. Ordering supplies and equipment, as well as maintaining inventory of controlled drugs and equipment, are key tasks. Arranging outpatient clinic appointments and medical examinations is required. Managing new and refilled prescriptions ordered by physicians is part of the role. The nurse will perform administrative tasks and serve as a liaison with others in the organization. Conducting and/or attending meetings is part of the job description. Serving as an instructor on occasion may be required. Participation in problem-solving teams or groups may be expected.
