Job Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU CV) Nurse in New York is a registered professional nurse responsible for delivering safe and high-quality patient care within the critical care setting. This role involves utilizing nursing theory, research, and evidence-based practices to provide comprehensive care for complex cardiac patients, fostering collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

  • Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: NYS Registered Nurse License, BLS certification, at least 2 years of Post-Open Heart and Cardiac Care Unit experience, minimum 2 years of RN experience, 1 year of travel experience for Travel positions (not required for Per Diem positions), Epic experience highly preferred.
  • Schedule: Day shift, every other week, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, minimum 34.5 hours per week.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: The nurse will perform charge nurse duties as assigned, coordinate supplies and staffing, document accurately and thoroughly to comply with hospital and regulatory standards, and facilitate patient throughput. The role emphasizes professional development, ethical decision-making, shared decision-making in specialty practice councils, and participation in quality improvement initiatives.
