Job Summary:
Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Registered Nurse position available in the Maryland area. This role involves providing specialized critical care to adult cardiac surgery patients, including those recovering from procedures such as CABG, valve repair or replacement, and other complex cardiac conditions. The position requires experienced HCPs comfortable with immediate post-operative care, managing ventilators, arterial lines, and other advanced cardiovascular equipment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 3x12 hours, from 7:30 PM to 8:00 AM; minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Active Maryland Registered Nurse (RN) license, ACLS and BLS certifications; 0 years minimum experience; experience with adult CVICU patient care preferred, with proficiency in arterial line management, chest tube management, blood product administration, ventilator management, and invasive monitoring; located within 50 miles of the facility.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic charting system, community hospital experience, and previous charge nurse experience.
• Additional Information: The role includes floating within the specialty, sister units, and lower acuity areas as needed. COVID-19 vaccination is not required; flu vaccination is mandatory. Candidates must be comfortable with immediate post-op cardiac patient care, 1:1 patient care for the initial 12 hours, and handling specialized procedures such as Impella and IABP.
