The organization is seeking a Cardiovascular Operating Room Nurse in Phoenix, Arizona. This position involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients undergoing cardiovascular surgical procedures. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The role emphasizes specialized knowledge and skills in cardiac and vascular patient care within an acute care setting.
Job Details:
- Location: Phoenix, AZ
- Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Current, valid registered nurse (RN) license in the state of practice, or temporary/interim RN license, or compact RN licensure; BLS certification required; minimum of one year RN experience including recent experience within an acute care setting in the specialty area; Bachelors degree preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in nursing; one year of operating room and/or cardiovascular or vascular experience; professional certification preferred.
- Additional Information: Candidates new to service or new operating room nurses must complete the Perioperative Academy curriculum and the Banner RN Perioperative Services Competency Tool within the first year. Maintenance of clinical performance competencies is required through annual validations.
- Physical Demands/Environment: Able to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, stretch, and respond quickly to patient care needs. Must possess physical agility, adequate reaction time, and fine motor skills. Able to lift up to 75 pounds. Use of standard precautions is required due to exposure to blood and bodily fluids. Effective communication skills are essential. Flexibility to work a schedule inclusive of 24/7 availability, including weekends and holidays, may be required.
