Job Summary:
Dialysis Unit Nurse in Traverse City, Michigan. This position involves providing specialized dialysis care, including hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, apheresis, and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT). The nurse will be responsible for operating dialysis equipment, maintaining machine cleanliness, and managing patient calls in a critical care environment.
Job Details:
- Shift: Days shifts available from 0800 to 1830 or 1000 to 2030, with an anticipated 40 hours per week. Variable shift days.
- Required Qualifications: Associate Degree in Nursing; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Location in Michigan; 0 years of experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with acute dialysis, including CRRT and apheresis, is preferred.
- Schedule: 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours weekly.
- Additional Information: The role involves working with B Braun for dialysis, NXStage machines for apheresis/CRRT, and Baxter for continuous cyclic peritoneal dialysis. The RN must be prepared to clean machines and respond to call situations. No guaranteed hours; on-call rotation includes 8 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. with 4-5 days per month, primarily Monday through Sunday, including every other Friday or Saturday. Holidays may be required depending on contract length.
