Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN DOU - Direct Observation Unit for a travel nursing job in Wausau, Wisconsin.

$500 CONTRACT COMPLETION BONUS

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg/Observation

Job Details:

• 12-hour variable shifts rotating between 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week assignment
• Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required
• Float to all inpatient units as needed, including IMC and CTU units
• Low census may occur in 4-hour increments; contract eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• 8-bed observation unit caring for patients with anemia, cellulitis, COPD, dehydration, pre and post-op urology and GI cases, and cardiac drips (Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin)
• High volume of admissions and discharges with average patient stay up to 48 hours
• Ability to read and interpret EKG strips required; EKG exam required during compliance
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, ACLS (AHA or ARC); NIHSS highly preferred
• Minimum 3 years of experience required with at least 1 prior travel assignment
• EPIC charting experience required
• Associate Degree or Certificate required
• Scrub colors: any color
• Desired skillset includes strong work ethic, resilience, adaptability to change, ability to work independently, collaborative mindset, and a positive attitude
