Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN DOU - Direct Observation Unit for a travel nursing job in Wausau, Wisconsin.

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg/Observation

Job Details:

• 13-week contract assignment
• 12-hour variable shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Low census hours eligible up to 36 hours unbillable - may be low censused in hour increments, typically in 4-hour increments
• 8-bed observation unit with 2 RNs per shift and a 1:4 patient ratio
• Care for patients with conditions including anemia, cellulitis, COPD, CHF, dehydration, pre-op, urology, and GI
• Administer and manage drips including Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, and Heparin
• High volume of admissions and discharges with average patient stay up to 48 hours
• Ability to read and interpret EKG strips required - EKG exam will be administered during compliance
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• 1 prior travel assignment required
• Background in observation units or step-down MS/Tele units preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, ACLS (ARC or AHA)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required
• Scrub colors: any color
