LanceSoft is seeking a travel nurse RN ECMO Coordinator for a travel nursing job in San Diego, California.

Schedule

  • Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • 3x12-Hour Shifts
  • 36 Hours per Week
  • Flexible to work Days or Nights
  • Weekend Availability Required
  • No Block Scheduling

Requirements

  • Active California RN License (Pending CA License accepted with ETA)
  • BLS Certification
  • PALS Certification
  • Minimum 1 year of ECMO experience
  • Preferred: 2 years of Pediatric ICU nursing and 1 year of ECMO experience
  • Candidates with strong adult ECMO experience will also be considered
  • First-time travelers welcome
  • Epic experience preferred

Clinical Skills

  • ECMO circuit monitoring and management
  • Ventilator management
  • Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) interpretation
  • Arterial line and central line management
  • BiPAP/CPAP management
  • Endotracheal and nasotracheal suctioning
  • Continuous IV sedation
  • Cardiac and vasoactive drip titration
  • Dysrhythmia recognition and management
  • Post-cardiac surgery patient care
  • Isolation precautions and PPE compliance

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage the extracorporeal (ECMO) circuit.
  • Adjust ECMO support to maintain adequate oxygenation and tissue perfusion.
  • Troubleshoot and replace malfunctioning ECMO circuit components during emergency situations.
  • Administer blood products and fluids through the ECMO circuit under physician direction.
  • Monitor anticoagulation therapy according to established protocols.
  • Assist with patient mobility while on ECMO support.
  • Float between CTICU, PICU, and NICU based on patient needs.

Additional Information

  • Float required within CTICU, PICU, and NICU as needed.
  • Maximum of 6 RTO days.
  • Guaranteed hours after facility call-off policy is met.
  • Charting System: Epic
