Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license for Washington, DC at the time of start; pending DC license may be accepted at submission if proof is provided
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
• At least 1 previous travel nursing assignment required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• C-EFM NCC certification required at the time of submittal
• NIHSS certification preferred for clinical clearance
• Experience in a community hospital or high-acuity emergency setting preferred
• Comfortable with rotating shifts, holidays, and weekend coverage as needed
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to adult and geriatric patients
• Assess, triage, and stabilize patients presenting with a wide range of acute conditions
• Administer emergency medications and support critical interventions as needed
• Monitor patients requiring cardiac, respiratory, neurological, or trauma-related care
• Assist with procedures such as IV placement, blood product administration, and airway support
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe, efficient patient flow
• Maintain accurate documentation and promote timely communication across the care team
• Provide compassionate care while responding effectively in a fast-paced emergency environment
