- Weekend Coverage: Required, including every other weekend and holidays
- Charting System: Cerner
- Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:4-5
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent registered nurse experience required
- Previous Level I Trauma experience required
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required at time of submission
- Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
- Experience with Cerner electronic health record preferred
- Strong skills in triage, dysrhythmia interpretation, IV starts, and central line care/management
- Ability to work in a fast-paced emergency department and manage variable patient acuity
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
- Perform triage and prioritize care for incoming patients with urgent and emergent needs
- Monitor, assess, and stabilize patients in a busy Level I Trauma environment
- Interpret dysrhythmias and respond appropriately to changing patient conditions
- Start and maintain IV access and assist with central line care/management as needed
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to support safe, effective care
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record
- Deliver compassionate care while maintaining efficiency and strong attention to detail
