Med Ninjas is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Urbana, Illinois.
Job Summary :
- Acts as a professional caregiver responsible for a group of patients during assigned shifts.
- Provides patient care using the nursing process, current nursing trends, and available technology.
- Utilizes financial and human resources efficiently within the institution’s philosophy.
- Performs duties and responsibilities specific to the unit’s scope of service.
- Implements nursing procedures and theories relevant to the specific area of practice (e.g., Emergency Department nursing).
- Conducts initial patient assessments and develops individualized plans of care in collaboration with providers, patients, and families.
- Executes and modifies care plans and nursing interventions based on ongoing assessment and evaluation.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date documentation for all nursing care provided.
- Ensures patient and staff safety by adhering to safety protocols and reporting/correcting hazards and incidents.
- Communicates effectively with staff, patients, and families to resolve issues and promote a healthy work environment.
- Provides constructive feedback and collaborates with peers to enhance professional development and expand knowledge.
- Identifies personal learning needs and actively seeks solutions and educational opportunities.
- Fulfills all departmental competency requirements and stays current with required certifications.
- Utilizes EPIC electronic medical records system as required.
- Maintains all required certifications and licensure (Illinois RN License, BLS, ACLS, PALS).
- Demonstrates experience with trauma level 1 or higher care settings (preferred).
Med Ninjas Job ID #6299. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
