Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Anchorage, Alaska.

Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) registered nursing position located in Anchorage, Alaska. This role involves providing top-quality emergency care in a busy hospital environment, with the opportunity to work varied shifts including nights. The position is suited for a motivated healthcare professional seeking to contribute to emergency services in a dynamic facility.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) license, ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH, ENPC certifications; minimum 1 year of experience in emergency nursing or equivalent skills
  • Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in stroke units or STEMI care, trauma, and pediatrics
  • Float: Float rotation may be required
  • Additional Information:
    • Deployment length of 13 weeks with an immediate start date of 08/25/2026
    • Shift times may vary (7a, 9a, 11a, 12n, 1p, 3p, 7p) depending on unit needs
    • Unit comprises 20 beds on the 2nd floor, with a staff of about 50 healthcare professionals including charge nurses, flow coordinators, ED Techs, and US personnel
    • Equipment includes Lucas, Level 1, Alaris IV pumps, I stat, EPOC, GE monitors
    • Typical patient ratios are 4:1, with lower acuity patients (ESI 4 & 5) possibly up to 6:1
    • Dress code includes navy blue scrubs; professionalism in presentation expected
