Job Summary:
The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in Wausau, Wisconsin. This clinical role involves providing patient care in a trauma level II emergency department with a fast-paced environment. The position requires handling a variety of clinical situations, including stroke, cardiac, neuro, pediatrics, geriatrics, and respiratory care, utilizing Epic computer charting and Pyxis medication dispensing.

Job Details:

• Location: Wausau, Wisconsin
• Position: Emergency Room RN (ER RN)
• Shift: Rotating, 12-hour variable shifts (day/night) from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM with occasional flexibility to 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM
• Schedule: 48 hours per week, guaranteed, with every other weekend and holiday work required
• Required Qualifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS certifications; Associate Degree or Certificate; 2 years of experience, trauma level II experience required; prior trauma or travel experience preferred
• Additional Information: The role may require floating to other nearby locations including Merrill, Antigo, Medford, and Stanley. Candidates should be resilient, detail-oriented, independently managing tasks efficiently and adapting to change. The team operates in a very face-paced environment, utilizing Epic charting, with in-house radiology and lab services, and Pyxis medication dispenser. Full-time on-call and holiday shifts, with mandatory masking during flu and COVID seasons for those who decline vaccinations, are part of the policy requirements.
