Description:
The unit has 40 beds.
Approximately 65 staff members work in the unit, including RNs, paramedics, and EMTs.
On day shift, staffing includes 1 CNC, 6 RNs, and an EMT.
Multiple mid-shift staff arrive at different times throughout the day.
On night shift, staffing includes 1 CNC, 6 RNs, 1 EMT, and 1 medic.
Mid-shift staff leave at different times throughout the night.
Patient ratios are 4:1.
Equipment used in the unit includes IV pumps, EKG machines, ultrasound machines, and GE EMR - Meditech.
Candidates with trauma level 1 or level 2 experience and prior Meditech experience will be prioritized.
Typical procedures performed on the unit include rapid assessment, stabilization, and intervention, as well as vital signs and ECG monitoring.
The best personality fit is an experienced Emergency Department nurse who is a motivated team player.
Patient care experience is a priority.
