Travel Nurse RN - Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma - $1,837 per week in Alexandria, VA

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 hours Hours per Shift: 11 a.m. - 11 p.m. Experience: Minimum of 2 years in combined adult and pediatric emergency care License: Valid RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS required; TNCC preferred Must-Have: 2+ years of experience Experience in both adult and pediatric emergencies Ability to work shifts from 3 p.m. - 3 a.m. with flexibility to work 7 p.m. - 7 a.m. Description: The emergency department treats a variety of patients, including those with STEMI, stroke, sprains, sutures, and high-acuity cases. Pediatric patients are integrated throughout all zones, as there is no separate pediatric area. The staff-to-patient ratio is typically 4:1, but may stretch to 5:1 during peak census periods. Nurses will administer drips, routine vasopressors, insulin, and sedation as needed. Weekend shifts consist of 6 shifts over a 6-week period. The required uniform is navy blue scrubs. Epic access is required for this position.
