TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Winston Salem, North Carolina, 27103!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Valid nursing license Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH, PALS, MOAB Must-Have: - Minimum 2 years of experience - Traveler experience required; unit will accept first-time travelers - Skills in IV start, triage, and telemetry Description: RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on unit could result in a cancel and DNR. No blocked scheduling is permitted. Ratios are 1:3-5, with 250 visits per day and 101 beds. Unit will only accept contracts for 26 weeks. 36 hours can be offered. Shift is 12 hours during the night. Floating is required between the Emergency Observation Unit and Emergency Behavioral Health depending on the greatest need. There is a minimum requirement of 4 weekend days per 6-week timeframe. Unit systems include Pyxis and EPIC. Patient population includes a regional referral and tertiary care center serving all demographics. Staffing requires a teamwork approach and adherence to behavioral expectations in all interactions with patients and staff. All candidates must be open to floating within or near the facility. Candidates must pass EKG testing prior to starting in this specialty. Must be willing to complete pre-start modules as required. Candidates should have experience with acute psychosis, ventilated patient care, and drug overdose management among other emergency care skills. This position serves a diverse patient age group including neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Floating may occur based on the unit’s operational needs. Clinical areas for support include IV teams, respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy among others. All RTO must be pre-approved, and candidates cannot request additional RTO after signing. Candidates should expect to participate in weekend coverage as part of their scheduling responsibilities.
