We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team in Lancaster, Ohio. This role involves providing comprehensive, patient-centered care within a fast-paced and dynamic environment, utilizing the full scope of the nursing process.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care for a diverse population presenting with various emergent conditions. This includes collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, educating patients and families, and ensuring adherence to established organizational policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for each patient according to the nursing process and established care pathways.
Provide high-quality patient care based on thorough assessment needs and an individualized plan of care.
Provide comprehensive education to patients and their families/significant others from admission through the discharge process.
Maintain thorough, concise, accurate, and legible documentation of the nursing process and patient care.
Notify physicians promptly of pertinent observations and changes in patient status.
Administer medications and perform treatments accurately and safely as prescribed.
Implement physician orders precisely and in a timely manner.
Accept responsibility for the direction of co-workers and delegation of appropriate tasks in the implementation of patient care.
Ensure equipment and supplies are readily available for patient care and report any malfunctions to the appropriate department.
Required Qualifications
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
Previous nursing experience.

Licensing Requirements
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio.
