Telemetry Med/Surg Registered Nurse

Job Summary

Join our dedicated nursing team for a 13-week contract assignment in Lawton, Oklahoma. This role is based on a 13-bed Medical-Surgical unit with Telemetry capabilities, providing comprehensive care to a diverse adult patient population.

As a Telemetry Med/Surg Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care, managing a patient ratio of 1:5, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including comprehensive assessments, medication administration, and wound care, for a diverse adult patient population.
  • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and other vital signs, responding to changes in patient condition promptly and effectively.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Educate patients and their families on health conditions, medications, and discharge instructions to promote self-management and recovery.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough electronic health records (EHR) documentation in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, adhering to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care Medical-Surgical or Telemetry setting.

Shift Details
