Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinate care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and professional discretion. Employ independent judgment in all aspects of care delivery. Collect relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Analyze assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develop a plan that prescribes interventions to attain desired outcomes. Implement the plan, coordinating care delivery and promoting health and safety. Evaluate progress toward attaining outcomes. Identify outcomes for the patient or the patient's situation. Collaborate with the patient, family, and healthcare providers to ensure safe and humane care. Provide learning opportunities for patients, family members, and team members. Directly provide health information to patients and families.
