Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 11 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Evening/Night Variable Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years required; 1 year in a trauma center preferred License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: ACLS BLS NIHSS PALS TNCC ENPC Must-Have: Must have 2+ years of ER experience Must have 1+ year of trauma experience Epic experience is mandatory Description: Seeking an experienced Emergency Room RN to join the team. Position requires a strong background in emergency care. Candidates must be comfortable providing culturally competent care to a diverse population. The emergency department includes 55 beds and resources for pediatric and adult patients. Travelers may be asked to perform triage after completing additional orientation. Requires ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications. Common conditions treated include STEMI, Stroke, DKA, Sepsis, Trauma, and Respiratory Diseases. Staffing ratios are 4:1 for main emergency room, 5:1 for fast track, and 2:1 for critical care. In-house support includes security, transport services, and respiratory therapy. The facility experiences a patient volume of approximately 250 patients per day. Weekend and holiday shifts are mandatory with a structured scheduling policy. Nurses are responsible for managing their own patient care, including long holds if necessary. A collaborative environment with multi-disciplinary support is promoted within the department.
