Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in a hospital setting License: Active RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC required Must-Have: - Minimum 2 years Emergency Department experience - Active certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC - Strong communication skills with patients and peers - Strong assessment skills - Dependability and punctuality - Strong critical thinking skills - Strong understanding of medical terminology Description: This position requires a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. The nurse will work in a fast-paced environment providing care to patients with multiple comorbidities. The department includes a secure locked psychiatric area and various procedure rooms. Staff members include Charge RNs, RNs, ED Technicians, and a Resource Person in the psychiatric area. The typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 4:1, with flexibility during surge times. Candidates must demonstrate adaptability and possess critical thinking skills. A strong desire to assist and care for patients is essential. Common procedures in this unit include trauma care, stroke care, laceration repair, orthopedic trauma, IV insertion, and psychiatric care. The ideal candidate is a motivated hard worker and a creative problem solver who is committed to patient care.
