Description:
Position involves working within an Emergency Department in a trauma setting.
The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4-5.
Weekend and holiday coverage is required every other week.
Floating between like units is not required.
On-call duties are not part of this position.
The facility is a trauma Level I teaching hospital with 228 staffed beds.
Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, and TNCC.
The ideal candidate must have experience in a Level I Trauma Center.
Skills needed include central line care and management, interpretation of dysrhythmias, IV maintenance, and triage.
The patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
Average daily census ranges from 129 to 160 with 30 beds available.
Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy and respiratory services, among others.
