Job Title: Travel RN - Emergency Department Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years minimum License: Valid RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ENPC, NIH, PALS Must-Have: 1-year minimum of current acute care ED RN experience Ability to work mid-shift/night shift Description: This is a travel RN position in the Emergency Department. The position requires a minimum of 1 year of current acute care experience in the Emergency Department. Candidates must hold valid BLS, ACLS, ENPC, NIH, and PALS certifications. The nurse will work in a unit with a patient ratio of 1:4. Typical procedures performed include EKGs, IVs, medication administration, conscious sedation, and wound care. The ideal candidate is positive, flexible, and a team player. This is an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a supportive staff. The unit operates 24/7 with a team that includes RNs, a medic, a physician, and a radiology technician. The use of GE monitors and Baxter pumps is common in this setting. The electronic medical record system utilized is Meditech. Candidates with ER charge RN experience and a willingness to float between departments are preferred.
