Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Registered Nurse (RN) for an acute care setting in Morristown, Vermont. This role is situated within a Critical Access Hospital environment, providing comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population across various acuity levels.
The successful candidate will deliver age-specific, direct patient care, utilizing the nursing process to ensure adherence to established standards of patient care. This position requires adaptability to float between units such as Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, Step Down, Progressive Care (PCU), Special Care (SCU), Observation, and Critical Care (CCU), catering to adult, pediatric, and orthopedic patients.
This is a leadership-oriented role, involving the delegation of tasks to other healthcare team members and ensuring compliance with all applicable state and federal healthcare regulations and policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide age-specific, direct patient care in accordance with the nursing process.
- Utilize the Department of Nursing Standards of Patient Care and Specialty Specific Standards of Patient Care.
- Assume leadership responsibilities, including the delegation of work to other levels of employees.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable State and Federal laws, regulations, and policies governing healthcare provision.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification.
- Completion of de-escalation training.
