Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: ER Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hours Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years experience required License: Active RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENPC or PALS, TNCC required Must-Have: Charge experience preferred. Ability to float across emergency department and inpatient units as needed. Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips. Experience with patients requiring ventilation before transport to ICU. Description: This position requires an experienced Emergency Room Nurse. The nurse will work 12-hour day shifts starting at 9:00 AM. The role requires strong assessment and critical thinking skills. Nurse will be responsible for providing care to a standard emergency room patient population. Patients may include those with psychiatric holds and deliveries in the ER. The nurse will work alongside a team including an ER physician and physician assistants. The department has a total of 2 trauma rooms and 11 exam rooms. Ratios are typically 1:4, depending on patient acuity. The nurse may need to participate in weekend and holiday rotations. Floor specific orientation will be provided over 2-3 shifts. No dedicated respiratory therapy is available; however, respiratory support is accessible 24/7. The charting system used is Cerner. Candidates must prioritize patient safety and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Additional responsibilities may include triage experience for ESI levels.
