Must-Have:
- Ability to interpret and manage heart rhythm changes (dysrhythmias).
- Experience in caring for critically ill patients with multi-organ issues.
- Proficiency in administering blood products and managing central lines.
- Skills in starting and maintaining IVs, administering IV sedation, and vasopressors.
- Experience in the care of stroke patients and ventilated patients.
- Ability to manage BiPAP/CPAP and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs).
- Knowledge of isolation precautions and performing triage.
- No disciplinary issues on nursing license.
Description:
We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Room team.
This is a day shift position requiring three 12-hour shifts each week.
Every other weekend is required.
Nurses will be responsible for caring for critically ill patients and handling multiple emergency cases.
Essential clinical skills include the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
The nurse will administer blood products and manage central lines.
Starting and maintaining IVs is a critical aspect of this role.
The nurse will also be involved in administering IV sedation and vasopressors.
There will be a focus on patients experiencing strokes and those on ventilators.
Management of BiPAP/CPAP as well as interpreting arterial blood gases (ABGs) is required.
All nurses must follow strict isolation precautions and perform triage as needed.
This position entails working independently and being proactive in patient care.
All requested time off must be submitted initially.
No time off will be approved after an offer is made.
Candidates must coordinate with peers for coverage when needed.
