Travel Nurse RN - Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma - $2,754 per week in Albany, GA

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 17 Weeks Shift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum of 2 Years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS Must-Have: 5+ years of experience At least 1 travel assignment Meditech experience Description: The Emergency Room handles approximately 180-200 patient visits per day. The unit has a 6-bed behavioral lockdown area staffed by psychiatric professionals. Nurses are responsible for their own lab draws and IV starts. A respiratory therapist is available 24/7 and dedicated to the emergency room. The pharmacy operates on campus 24/7. The emergency room provides care for patients ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics. Trauma cases are managed on-site, with some neuro trauma cases transferred out. Certain orthopedic cases are kept in-house while others are transferred as necessary. Burn cases are not treated within this facility. The emergency room is recognized as a CVA center. Nurses will be expected to complete orientation within the first week. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. Holiday shifts are also required every other holiday. Scrub color is specified as Caribbean Blue. The charting system used is MEDITECH. There are patient sitters and security provided in the emergency room as needed. Charge nurses and nurse aides/paramedics are available on each shift. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 to 4. Monitoring techs are present for central monitoring.
