Contract | Night Shift, 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 36 or 48 Hours Per Week | Every Other Holiday Required | 2 Weekends Per 4-Week Schedule Period
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Adult Emergency Department serving 350–440 patients per day across up to 120 treatment areas
Independently read, interpret, and document telemetry rhythm strips, including identification of heart blocks
Float as needed to Psychiatric ED and Pediatric ED, providing care to patients aged 15 and older in the Pediatric ED setting
Manage a patient assignment of 1:4–5 patients depending on acuity level
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver timely, safe, and effective emergency care
Adhere to department protocols, safety standards, and assignment-specific scope limitations
Minimum of 1.5 years of recent Level I or Level II Emergency Department experience, OR 2+ years of recent Level III/IV ED experience
Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips and identify heart blocks; must pass an on-site Telemetry Test on Day 1 with a score of 85% or higher
Active and unexpired BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS certifications
Willingness to float to Psychiatric ED and Pediatric ED areas as needed
Commitment to work 2 out of 3 winter holidays, including days surrounding each holiday
Preferred Experience / Skills
Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records system
Previous travel nursing assignment experience
Critical care nursing background
Prior pediatric emergency nursing experience
