Travel Nurse RN - Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma in Lufkin, TX

Contract | Days | 12-Hour Shifts | Every Other Weekend and Holiday Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a busy Emergency Department seeing 80–90 patients per day, with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Manage and care for a variety of emergency presentations including trauma, stroke, sepsis, CHF, and cardiac conditions
• Perform and interpret ECG rhythms independently, as no monitor technicians are on unit
• Participate in triage on an occasional basis within a designated triage area
• Coordinate care for ER hold patients intermixed within the department
• Float to other units as qualified when needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• TNCC required
• PALS or ENPC required
• Proficiency with EMR systems; experience with Paragon preferred

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-volume emergency department with trauma, stroke, and cardiac patient populations
• Familiarity with self-scheduling environments and rotating shift structures
• Experience with phlebotomy and independent lab draws
