Job Title
Travel RN – Emergency Department (13-Week Contract)

Pasadena, Texas
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Shift: 2:00 PM – 2:00 AM | Alternate Weekends Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 30-bed Emergency Department with patient ratios up to 1:5, acuity dependent
- Utilize advanced critical thinking skills to assess, plan, and manage care for emergency patients including trauma, STEMI, stroke, and sepsis cases
- Perform and assist with procedures including thoracotomy, arterial lines, and massive transfusion protocol (MTP)
- Operate advanced unit equipment including cardiac monitors, defibrillators, ultrasound, and EKG machines
- Document patient care accurately using the facility EMR system (Meditech/Expanse)
- Float to freestanding Emergency Department locations as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Texas
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience
- Advanced critical thinking skills with extensive experience in trauma, STEMI, stroke, and sepsis management
- Required certifications: ENPC, TNCC, ACLS, PALS, BLS, and CPI with Trauma-Informed Care (TIC)
- Ability to work alternate weekends and mid-shift hours (2:00 PM – 2:00 AM)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with both adult and pediatric Emergency Department patient populations
- NRP and STABLE certifications
- Certifications aligned with HCA Nurse Contract and Pool requirements
