    Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

    Location

    Randallstown, MD

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Onsite | Every other weekend required (Saturday and Sunday)

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a 54-bed Emergency Department serving neonatal, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations averaging approximately 120 visits per day
    • Support two locked Behavioral Health units within the ED, operating alongside a dedicated security team at a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
    • Float as needed to rapid evaluation units supporting urgent care and critical care needs within scope of practice
    • Deliver stroke care in alignment with Primary Stroke Center protocols, including required annual stroke continuing education
    • Utilize Cerner electronic health record system, including FirstNet and Launch modules
    • Maintain holiday coverage requirements and adhere to scheduling expectations throughout the contract period
    Required Qualifications
    • Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department experience required; candidates with 2 years of Level I or Level II trauma experience may be considered
    • Valid Maryland RN license or active Compact RN license required at time of submission
    • Current ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and PALS certifications required
    • Completion of the Prophecy Relias Advanced Emergency Department assessment required
    • 4 hours of annual stroke continuing education required
    • Ability to float within scope to like units, including behavioral health and rapid evaluation units, to meet facility needs
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) certification preferred
    • Precepting and clinical training experience preferred
